PHOTOGRAPHY

Through the use of motion and her eclectic and cinematic imagery Emma Sheldrake uses her photography to spark emotion. Strongly passionate, confident and determined, she has been a force in a range of creative arenas and pursuits. Emma was born and bred into a family of artists. She's a woman of many creative disciplines, having studied design and photography, and has an extensive fine art career with over 50 exhibitions both nationally and internationally.
Emma has had over twenty years experience working within the design advertising and fashion industries. She's worked in the capacity of an art director, designer, photographer, dj and an artist. Working in Brisbane, Sydney and the USA for amongst others George Patterson Bates. She has also lectured at Griffith University in Brisbane and the Gold Coast for 8 years and headed up Youngblood's (Young People in Advertising) for QLD. Her notable awards include Brisbane Art Directors awards for her design photography and art direction 'The Cordiant Scholarship' through George Patterson Bates & two nominations in the 'Telstra Business Woman of the Year. Emma has picked up over 60 awards for her photography including placing first in the 'Pink Lady Food Photography Awards UK' in the 'Cream of the Crop' division in 2021 and 2023 a 3rd and Highly Commended. She's has been interviewed by Canon Australia several times - she features on their website, and has been interviewed as an artist/ photographer in over 45 publications.
Based in Noosa for the last 14 years, she works both locally, interstate and internationally. Emma is a proud mother of twin daughters and their pastimes include gardening, cooking, surfing and raising chickens.
